Opening an account
1) In Person
You can choose to visit any of our Customer Service Centres or Investor Centre to complete the application forms.
Alternatively, you can download, complete the forms and visit us together with the forms and supporting documents. Kindly take some time to read through the terms and conditions prior to opening an account.

2) By mail
You can download, complete the forms and mail them together with the supporting documents to us.

- Notary Public officially registered with the country’s governmental institution;
- Advocates & Solicitors (preferably with branch in Singapore);
- Justice of Peace; or
- Commissioners for Oaths

Important Notes
- If your mailing address is an overseas address, please maintain a local mailing address for documents arising from Rights Issue to be sent to you.
- All amendments on account opening form must be counter-signed by applicant. An account opening form with more than 3 amendments will be rejected and a new form has to be filled for submission.
- The account opening form should be dated with the current date of submission of the application. CDP will accept application form dated up to 1 month old upon receipt.
- With effect from 1 October 2011, Direct Crediting Service (DCS) is mandatory for customers who wish to open a CDP securities account. The 6 participating DCS banks are Citibank, DBS / POSB, HSBC, OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB.
Opening hours
Our Customer Service Centres are open from Monday to Friday (except for public holidays), from 9am to 6pm.
Our Investor Centre is open daily (except on Christmas and the first 2 days of Chinese New Year), from 10am to 10pm.
Clients between the ages of 18-20 years old can open an account with us, provided they have a guarantor.
What is a Minor account?
Young investors, aged 18-20 years old, can open a Minor account that is strictly for investment purposes. Contra trading is not allowed.
How do I open a Minor account?
You can choose to visit any of our Customer Service Centres or our Investor Centre to complete the application forms. You must be accompanied by your guarantor (a parent) who must sign a letter of guarantee.
Both Minor and guarantor and required to bring down their identification.

Below is the list of supporting documents required when opening a Corporate account

You have a variety of options to fund your trading account or to settle your trades. For foreign trades, you may make/receive payment either in SGD or in the denominated currency of the counter purchased/sold.
Electronic Payment for Shares (EPS)
With EPS, you can pay via ATMs or Internet Banking and your sale proceeds will be directly credited to your bank account. Please note that funds transferred before 8pm will be credited to our account on the next working day.

Bill Payment Service via Internet Banking
With Bill Payment Service, you can pay via Internet Banking through the following banks:

When making a Bill Payment, you will need to identify yourself with a ‘Bill Ref / Consumer Reference’:

This has eight characters, beginning with the code of your Trading Representative (e.g. AZ), then followed by your six (6)-digit trading account number (e.g. 123456). Therefore, in this example, your Bill Ref / Consumer Reference is: "AZ123456".
Internal Funds Transfer
You may request for your funds to be transferred between your trading accounts. Please contact your Trading Representative for more information.
Cheque
All cheques should be crossed and made payable to “Maybank Kim Eng Securities Pte Ltd”. Please state your trading account number, contract / contra statement number, name and your contact numbers on the back of the cheque.
Cash
For cash payment, please visit any of our Customer Service Centres or Investor Centre.
Telegraphic Transfer (TT)

GIRO
GIRO is a direct debit and credit facility available to all DBS/POSB, OCBC and UOB bank account holders. It is the most convenient way to settle your trades. With Giro, the payment will be directly debited from or credited to your designated bank account when you trade and settle your trades in Singapore dollars.
