Risk Management

Duration: 2 months (October 2018 - 31 December 2018)

Role Description

  • Assist in Operational Risk requirements and coordination with stakeholders and report consolidation
  • Assist in Crisis Simulation Exercise for MKE and Call Tree exercise report collation
  • Assist in monitoring of market news of large exposure counters and/ or counters with significant moves
  • Assist in collation of data on clients for the purpose of implementing a framework on credit score
  • Assist in other reporting requirements

Finance 

Duration: 3 months (October 2018 - 31 December 2018)

Role Description

  • Prepare foreign brokers’ reconciliation
  • Prepare Receipt and Payments reconciliation
  • Process foreign dividend and payments
  • Perform daily margin reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly P/L statement
  • Update dividend schedule

 

Investment Banking and Advisory

Duration: 6 months (1 January 2019 - 30 June 2019)

Role Description

  • Involve execution of M&A and financing (debt and equity) transactions 
  • Create and analyse financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. 
  • Prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. 
  • Participate in and conducting due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financing transactions. 
  • Conduct data mining and industry research from time to time and will be given training for the use of various financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Reuters etc.

Retail Research

Duration: 6 months (1 January 2019 - 30 June 2019)

Role Description

  • Conduct fundamental and situational research on economic, industry and corporate developments.
  • Able to assess a company's financials and value proposition, build valuation models and articulate investment ideas in written and spoken forms.
  • Apply his/her analytical and presentation skills in a fast paced and dynamic market environment. Enjoys presenting to clients, both internal and external.
  • Able to work independently as well as be a team player.
